News from Back Home

Hi boys: I talked to your Mom last night. She was quite happy and reported the dining room is now painted. You were all on the way home from purchasing a new kitchen set:~) I am excited your rooms will hopefully be ready by the time Papa and I get home.

Hi girls: I talked to your Mom this morning. She told me what a wonderful time Emily and she had shopping for Emily's dress for her first Father/Daughter dance next Saturday. Em, Mom told me how much you love your big girl shoes. Kara, I loved talking to you today. Your new dress for your special dance sounds beautiful, too. I think it is so exciting our two special girls are going to the same dance. Your Dad better wear his best suit and dancing shoes. Please make sure Mom takes awesome pictures, since Papa and I won't be home yet.

Today is another beautiful day here in sunny Florida. The temperature is supposed to reach near 90 degrees. Guess it's about time to go home. Papa loves these hot days; Nana not so much.

Next week we leave for Aunt Suzy's and Uncle Chuckie's for a few days. We haven't seen then since their move to Leesburg, FL. After our visit, it is home we go. Much as I miss you all, I can't believe the month of March is almost over.

Hippity Hoppity, Nana's On Her Way!

Hi kids. This is what I am resorting to. I can't do a beautiful layout with pretty graphics because Papa is too cheap to buy me a laptop big enough for all the software and graphics I need here in Florida. Please beg Papa to buy me one. Pretty please. I am in withdrawal and that is not good for Nana's mental or physical health.

I used a bunny holding a heart to convey two things. Easter is on the way and Nana and Papa give great baskets full of good stuff. The heart is to tell you all how much I love you.

Now, wrap your arms tightly around yourselves and you have just received a great big hug from Nana - your number 3 fan (Mom and Dad come first).

Our Girls St. Patrick's Day Attire

Guess you young ladies felt as Irish as the rest of us today. Emily and Kara, you look adorable all dressed up in your greenery. Kara, I wish Mommy had talken a picture of the back of your hair. I'm sure you had some green back there. Em, I LOVE your bag.

We hope you had a great time in school celebrating the wearing of the green.

Jerry and Janie invited us to a corn beef and cabbage dinner. It was delicious. There's nothing more fun than celebrating with friends.

Miss all our grandkids (but not enough to come home).

Nana & Papa in Deerfilld Beach, Florida 2011

Hi kids. Sorry I haven't written, but it is tough just sitting at the beach and swimming in the pool (which is heated to almost 90 degrees). We are really enjoying ourselves with our friends, Janie and Jerry. It is fun meeting new people and exchanging information about our hometowns. We miss you guys like crazy, but still don't want our month in the sun to go too quickly.

We missed The Baldwins' move to their new home, which made us sad. But when we were told how everyone helped them, especially Aunt TT and Uncle Corey, we felt better. I know we will be missing the Father/Daughter dances, too. Please take lots of pictures to share with us.

I just thank God for the invention of Skype. We get to see our favorite people while we are here. Take care and Zack, call Nana whenever you want to.

Welcome Home Baldwin's

Tomorrow is a big day for Shelley, Don, Zack, Alex and Raven. They will be moving into their new home. The ole homestead was a great "first home" for their family. It is small in size, but so overflowing with good times, happiness and love. It is where our girls grew into the adults they are today who Papa and I are so proud of.
Tomorrow the Baldwin's begin family life in their much bigger house. It is my hope that thirty years from now each room holds as many happy memories for their family as the rooms in their little house does for our family. I have no doubt that they will.

Hi from Deerfield Beach, Florida

Hi kids. The ride down to Deerfield, Florida was uneventful until we reached the fires in Georgia and Florida. It was so upsetting to see the devastation to the trees. I have never experienced anything like this before and hope never to again.

The weather here has been sunny and warm. Papa and I went in the pool today. We didn't go to the beach because it was very windy and I really don't enjoy eating sand.

We are having a lot of fun with our friends, Janie and Jerry. We have spent a lot of time laughing and acting silly. I'll take pictures of our apartment and send them to you.

We hope you are all busy packing for Aunt Shell (Mommy). Remember, you four have to do Papa and my part in our absence.

We will set a time soon to Skype with you. Until then, wrap your arms around yourselves and squeeze. There, you just got a great, big hug from your Nana.
