This is my second blog written to capture memories made with our grandchildren. The link to my first blog, "Meet Our Grandchildren," is listed below in the right hand column. Hope you have time to read some of it. Our journey to becoming grandparents has been full of adventure and much love.

Our Pink Hair Extensions for Breast Cancer Awareness
October 1st begins Breast Cancer Awareness month. Both Papa and I have family members who have fought this cancer. Right now, our daughter, Kristen, is "fighting like a girl" and showing astounding strength and courage as her treatment brings her closer every day to becoming cancer free. Your family applauds you, Kristen, for your ability to stay totally focused and think positive. We, as a united family, stand tall at your side.
Last Saturday we had pink hair extensions added to our hair in support of breast cancer awareness month. Kristen, you have so many friends and family doing everything they can to make your walk through your cancer as tolerable as possible. On October 21st there will be over 80 people walking with Team Kristy to raise money to find the way to rid the world of this disease.
Hugs and kisses,
know that I live on, vibrating to a different measure -- behind a thin veil you cannot see through. You will not see me, so you must have faith. I wait for the time when we can soar together again, -- both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life
to its fullest. And when you need me, just whisper my name in your heart . . . I will be there.
The above rainbow appeared over Amanda's garden shortly after her family planted it. Truly a sign our Special Angel Baby is watching over us.
I have been blessed with a wonderful husband, Ken, two amazing daughters, Kristen and Michelle, their husbands, Corey and Don, and five grandchildren who have touched my heart in more ways than I can ever verbalize. My fondest memories are of my Dad spending precious time with my daughters telling stories of times gone by, building forts in his living room, eating corn toasties dripping with butter. The list goes on and on. My daughters recount these memories of Grampa Harpy to their children. This blog is my endeavor to recount special times shared and many memories made with my very special grandchildren. It is my hope they will share them with others as the years go by.
