This is my second blog written to capture memories made with our grandchildren. The link to my first blog, "Meet Our Grandchildren," is listed below in the right hand column. Hope you have time to read some of it. Our journey to becoming grandparents has been full of adventure and much love.

First Day of School

I'm finally getting caught up on some of the important days in your lives. Kara could not wait for the first day of school. Kara, Nana is going to remind you of that in a few years. But then, I have to remember this is Miss Kara's first year in Middle School.

Our Miss Emily always says she hates school; she hates cheerleading, she hates soccer. Truth is we know she loves all of them. And a little birdie told me she is the quietest kid in her class. We won't go into why.

Alex is in first grade and seems to be happy. One thing I do know, he hates homework!! Alex is a soccer player and really enjoys it.

Zack is in his last year of Middle School. Music is his favorite class. That is a given. He has been asked to join the High School Brass Band. I'm not sure who was more excited, his Mom or Zack. Zack, I know your music is important to you. You practice diligently and should be very proud to have achieved so much being so young.

Papa and I are looking forward to sharing in your school year. Special Person's Day and the talent show are only celebrated in Elementary School.  Alex and Em, we look forward to them. Then there are the concerts for all of you. We don't intend to miss one thing we are invited to attend. We are so proud of all of you and it is important to us you realize this. We are wishing you happiness and success in the coming school year.
Hugs and kisses,
